IMPORTANT UPDATE 16 July 2021
The weather is bringing all kinds of good news! It means that we can open up workshops to many more people as we are able to work outside!
We have also been able to add a number of new workshops, talks, games and activities.
And there’s a description below so you can see what you’d like to get involved with.
BestFest is a celebration of young people’s creativity – a festival of thrilling theatre and show-based activities for all ages – yes, even adults! So whether you currently attend any theatre-based classes or not why not come along and give it a go? And if you just want to see what goes on there is plenty to watch. You will love it!
There will be loads of things to try out – fun sessions for toddlers and nursery ages, drama, singing, dancing and circus workshops for ages 6+. There’s also lots to see with shows throughout the day – from musical mash-ups to the unique immersive theatre experience , Dreamweaver. There’s an Improvisation Lab, a Comedy Cafe, talks from industry professionals and even a miniMacbeth! And with food & drink and music everywhere the creative carnival will be a fantastic experience.
See below for more details of each activity!
The Covid-safe action takes place at Beaumont School in circus tents, marquees and spaces around the campus – and there are full plans in place if there is rain.
The aim is to celebrate the creativity, optimism and resilience of our young people during the pandemic and to show how much theatre and performance can contribute to mental well-being and the feeling of belonging and inclusion. And, of course to HAVE FUN!!!16
