From September 2015 we are launching a new BYTE group to be the channel for our future performance ambitions.
Our recent success in being selected from over 300 UK groups to perform at the National theatre bears testament to our ability to nurture our students’ skills in a professional and fun way.
Meeting every term-time Wednesday evening at The Maltings Arts Theatre in central St Albans, the group tries out all kinds of drama games, acting styles and theatrical ideas with a focus on developing regular public showings at various local venues. The aim is to build confidence and skills by nurturing a supportive, friendly and open environment in which all the group feel able to give things a go.
We provide opportunities for everyone – both on stage and off stage, so that new things can be tried out and fresh perspectives gained. And, most of all, we have FUN!
When students reach school year 10/11 they graduate to our highly successful youth theatre group, TheBYTE, where their skills can continue to grow progressively and there are even more chances to perform in public at both local and national events.
TheBYTE is part of Best Theatre Arts, St.Albans’ leading independent theatre school for young people and is run by Lisa Schulberg, principal of Best School of Acting. Come along and give it a try – just give us a call or book here! Your first session is FREE!
