WHO WE ARE

Best Theatre Arts is a multi-award-winning Hertfordshire-based part-time performing arts school, established in 1998 by David Bevan and Annette Holland.

Ex theatre professionals, David and Annette wanted to create the kind of performing arts school they'd want their own kids to attend; a safe place where opportunities are equal and children are treated with total respect, with quality and care at the heart of every class, camp and performance.

Those values have not changed with Lisa Schulberg now at the helm, and we're proud of our unrivalled reputation for quality of training and pastoral care and how often we hear that schools have noticed a marked difference in the confidence of children who have attended Best.

WHAT WE DO

We offer performing arts classes
both in term-time and in the holidays to young people
and adults aimed at building confidence, developing technique,
making new friends and, most importantly, having fun!

We aim to always provide a safe, caring and relaxed environment where young people get the opportunity to be themselves, to realise their individual potential and be the best that they can be. Many of our musical theatre and acting students stay with us for many years and we have developed a range of classes so that we could support our young people as they mature and their creative interests change.

We hold no auditions, knowing that every single student has the right to a place on our stage and that our performances are enriched by an inclusive, understanding and 'no favourites' ethos. Our students go on to thrive whatever their chosen path may be. See what they are up to here
