ABOUT
Best’s LAMDA classes have achieved truly remarkable results with over 90% of students trained by us achieving distinctions.
The London Academy of Dramatic Art offer qualification exams in a range of subjects.
We offer expert tuition to all grades of LAMDA examination at both our St Albans and Ware sites. Each term consists of eight 20-minute classes (with a choice of online and/or face-to-face meetings) and there’s a huge variety of performance skills you can choose to explore – acting, devising, reading, musical theatre, public speaking, speaking verse & prose – all either individually or with a friend.
The course culminates in an exam conducted by an external examiner and this is brilliant for building life skills as the candidates manage preparing for an exam, interview techniques and general presentation and communication skills.

LAMDA
Speaking Verse and Prose
Speaking Verse and Prose learners develop a whole host of skills, from speaking clearly and using voice projection, to improving memorisation and building an understanding of poetry and prose which supports studies in English literature.
LAMDA
Speaking in Public
Speaking in Public exams prepare our learners for a task that daunts so many people. Learners write their own speeches, researching the topics, creating visual aids and presenting them from memory. As they progress through the grades they will develop the ability to speak clearly and project their voice for an audience.
LAMDA
Acting
Acting Exam learners develop their vocal, physical and interpretive skills while they delve into characters and explore the background of dramatic texts. Alongside producing authentic performances of their chosen scenes, they also gain an understanding of the context and characters within them.
