First Class Holidays

Acting, singing, dancing and crafting their way through fun themed courses, First Class Holidays provide an exciting, challenging, rewarding and FUN way for children aged 3-5 to spend a week of their Spring or Summer holidays.

And now the courses are even more exciting as our younger ones join with the older children in the theatre on the last day to show you their work on the SandPit Theatre stage!

They invent their own section of the show during the week and then have the chance to be on a stage with all the lights and sounds and excitement the theatre has to offer. Our pilot scheme for this was a huge success – The Lost Bunnies were the highlight of our show ‘Sunlight’.

Note on age – At age 6 children have the choice to attend First Class, or to move up to our Best Academies. It’s entirely up to you.

Our 2021 summer courses for ages 3 to 6 were

Adventures in Wonderland! 26-30 July (St Albans)

The children played a collection of strange creatures and loved their time on stage!

Journey into Space  2-6 August (St Albans)

Our little ones were the aliens in control of the whole situation and absolutely stole the show!

Magical Creatures  9-13 August (St Albans)

The children became strange versionms of unicorns and joined in the search for the Golden Unicorn. And there was a zebra. And an elephant on a bicycle in the attic.

Only £160 per week, £130 siblings/second week

So What Happens at a First Class Holiday Course?

It’s a place for making new friends, building confidence and having a fantastic time – a safe, friendly and dynamic atmosphere where even the most timid child will feel able to join in. And perhaps the best recommendation comes from the number of children who come back to our holiday courses year after year. No experience is necessary, and there are no auditions. Every week is different so children can come to as many as they like.

Classes run from 9.45am to 12.30am daily, with a showing on the last day at 12 non. In his/her time with us, your child will get the chance to try out all the creative skills and quickly get to know other children through play and listening.

Each morning has three elements. There is a gentle performance class with songs, dances and drama. Next is craft time where your child will create all sorts of wonderful things – lots of glue, glitter and colour! And then there is the show, usually based on a children’s classic tale but given our special flavour, which is put on for family and friends at the very end of the week. But the show is just a small part of a week bursting with energy, fun and friendship.

Your child will leave us with a goody bag full of their work, a personalised and themed certificate, a souvenir group photo, a cool t-shirt and some little extras…

Just a reminder, there’s video here which shows what happens during a week – enjoy!
